Our 3-days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga allows you to experience the unmatched feeling of being in the midst of nowhere and discover how nomads exist. You will ride a camel to their favorite form of transportation and spend the night in a genuine Sahara Desert camp.

Highlights of a 3-days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Itinerary:

Day 1: Discover the Natural Beauty of the Atlas Mountains

We’ll leave Marrakech after taking you up from your hotel and go for the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the route, you’ll pass via a twisting road, magnificent scenery of all colors, and Berber communities.

We’ll next go to the Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Legacy Site, where you’ll be joined by a local guide who will explain the history of this fascinating heritage before lunch.

Then it’s off to the Dades Valley and Gorges through Ouarzazate, the Rose Valley, and the Skoura palm forest. You’ll be staying in a traditional Moroccan hotel in the middle of the gorges.

Day 2: Gaze at a blanket of stars in the desert.

We’ll start our tour along the road of 1000 Kasbahs, traveling through and through the beautiful Berber settlements of the Dades Valley, after a great Moroccan breakfast.

We’ll see Tineghir’s famous magnificent palm trees and Jewish quarter before heading to the Todra Gorges (Todgha), where you’ll have free time to hike through the 300-meter-high gorges, which are popular with mountain climbers.

After that, we’ll travel to the Merzouga Sahara Desert’s Erg Chebbi Dunes. After arriving, you’ll enjoy a sunset camel ride to the desert where your tent is located. overnight in desert camp.

Day 3: Make Your Way to Marrakech

You’ll get up early this morning to view what may be the best sunrise of your life.

After viewing the sunrise, return to the camp for breakfast before embarking on a calm camel trip back to Merzouga. While riding, take in the breathtaking splendor of the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes, which change with the light as the day advances.

Then it’s time to go on the road, passing via Rissani, Tinghir, Dades Valley, and Ouarzazate on the way to Marrakech. On the journey, you’ll have some free time for lunch.

Before arriving in Marrakech, you will cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass and travel through Berber settlements.

To reserve your desert 3 day tour, we require a deposit via PayPal or bank transfer, with the remainder paid in cash upon your arrival. We are entirely flexible in arranging your customised trip based on your travel preferences and budget.

Cash or credit cards:

We accept cash in Euros(€), Pounds(£), USD($), or local Dirhams(MAD) for the three-day desert trip balance. We recommend paying cash to your guide on the first day of the tour. If you do not want to go with a lot of cash, we propose paying with credit or mastercard, however there is a 6% fee.

Cancellation Policy

We can cancel your three-day tour for free if you notify us one week before the tour begins. Simply notify us of your cancellation by email, and we will issue a full refund. Also, if you wish to postpone your trip to a later date.

Morocco Ultra Tours uses a comfortable automobile. As a result, for parties of less than six people, we use a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser. We used an 8-seater van and a 17-seater minibus for groups larger than 8 people.

The distance between Marrakech and Merzouga is 562 kilometers.

Yes, for travelers who choose not to ride camels, we employ a 4×4 vehicle to transport you to the camp at no additional cost. Optionally, ATV Quads / Buggy Dune can be rented for an additional fee. You only need to notify us at the time of booking.
