4 Days in Morocco: good to know
Choose one big experience
With four days, build the trip around one thing – a night in the Sahara, a trek, the north or Marrakech and its surroundings – instead of chasing every highlight.
The Sahara takes the whole trip
A night at Merzouga from Marrakech uses all four days, with two long road days. If you want more than the desert, the Agafay desert gives you camels and a camp under an hour from Marrakech.
End where you can fly home
Ending in Fes instead of driving back to Marrakech saves most of a day on the road – check flights from both cities before you book.
Private, on your dates
Every trip here is a private tour for you and your travel companions, on the dates you choose – and every day can be changed.
4 Days in Morocco: questions travellers ask
Is 4 days in Morocco enough?
Yes, for one region. Four days is enough for one night in the Sahara from Marrakech, for the imperial cities and Chefchaouen in the north, or for Marrakech with the Atlas and Essaouira. It is not enough to combine the desert and the northern cities without very long drives.
What to see in Morocco in 4 days?
From Marrakech: the medina, a day in the High Atlas and either Essaouira or the Agafay desert. Or the classic road to the dunes of Merzouga with Aït Benhaddou and the gorges. From the north: Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes and Fes.
4 days in Morocco: where to go?
Start from where you land. Fly into Marrakech for the desert, the mountains or the coast; land in Casablanca or arrive by ferry in Tangier for the north and Fes. Flying in and out of different cities saves a day of driving.
Can you visit the Sahara in 4 days from Marrakech?
Yes. Merzouga is 9 to 10 hours away, so the tour splits the drive with stops at Aït Benhaddou, the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorge, spends one night in a desert camp and comes back through Ouarzazate. For a shorter desert evening, the Agafay desert is 45 minutes from Marrakech.
What to do in Marrakech for 4 days?
Spend one day in the medina and use Marrakech as a base for day trips: a High Atlas hike, a hot air balloon, quad or camels in Agafay, the Ouzoud waterfalls or Essaouira. You sleep in the same riad every night.
How much does a 4 day trip to Morocco cost?
Our 4-day trips are private and priced on request: the price depends on the number of travellers, the season, the hotels and the activities. Send us your dates and we send you a clear price.
Is 4 days in Morocco good with kids?
Yes, if you keep the drives short. Around Marrakech you can do a balloon flight, camels and quads in the Agafay desert with a night in a camp, and the Ourika waterfalls, all within about an hour of the city.
When is the best time for 4 days in Morocco?
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable. Summer is very hot in the desert, so choose the mountains or the coast; in winter the days are sunny but desert nights are cold.
