6 Days in Morocco: good to know
The Sahara and one more region
Six days is enough to sleep in the dunes and add one other world – Fes, the north or the Atlas – but not all of them. Choose the region that matters most and let the rest wait for another trip.
Spend the extra day slowly
The sixth day is worth more as a slower pace than as another city: a second night in the desert, an evening at Aït Benhaddou or two nights in Chefchaouen.
Book flights into one city and out of another
Arriving in Marrakech and leaving from Fes or Tangier (or the other way) saves a day of driving back. Send us your flight times and we plan the route around them.
Your own private trip
Each route on this page is a private tour with your own driver, on the dates you choose. We change activities, riads and pace to suit you.
6 Days in Morocco: questions travellers ask
Is 6 days in Morocco enough?
Yes, for one or two regions. In 6 days you can cross from Marrakech to Fes through the Sahara, loop from Marrakech with two nights in the dunes, or combine the north with Fes. Seeing the desert, the imperial cities, the north and the coast together needs 10 days or more.
What is the best 6 days in Morocco itinerary?
For a first visit with short drives, Marrakech, a night in the High Atlas, the Agafay desert and Essaouira is a great mix. If the Sahara is the priority, the Marrakech to Fes route through Merzouga is the classic. Arriving by ferry from Spain, a loop through Chefchaouen and Fes works best.
Can I do a 6 days Morocco desert tour from Marrakech?
Yes. Merzouga is about 9 to 10 hours from Marrakech, so the drive is split over two days with the Dades and Todra gorges on the way. Six days allows two nights in the desert and a relaxed return through Skoura and Aït Benhaddou.
How much does a 6 day trip to Morocco cost?
Our trips are private and priced on request. The price depends on the number of travellers, the season, the riads you choose and the activities, so tell us your dates and we send you a clear quote.
Can I go from Marrakech to Fes in 6 days?
Yes, and it is one of the best uses of six days. You cross the High Atlas, sleep in the Sahara at Merzouga and reach Fes through the Middle Atlas, with time for walks and a guided morning in the medina.
What can I see on a 6 day Morocco tour from Casablanca?
Starting in Casablanca, you can visit Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis and Fes, then cross to the Sahara and finish in Marrakech. It is a full programme with some long drives, so the pace can be adapted.
Is 6 days too long in Marrakech?
Not if you use the city as a base. The High Atlas, the Agafay desert, the Ourika Valley and the Ouzoud waterfalls are all day trips, and a balloon flight or a cooking class fills the rest.
When is the best time for 6 days in Morocco?
March to May and September to November are the most comfortable for the desert and the cities. Summer suits the coast and the mountains better, and winter is sunny but cold at night in the Sahara and the Atlas.
