Planning 7 days in morocco? A week is the length most of our guests choose – long enough for the Sahara and a great city, short enough to keep the pace lively. Cross from Marrakech to Fes through the dunes of Merzouga, loop back over the High Atlas, add the ocean at Essaouira, climb Toubkal or arrive by ferry in Tangier. Travelling with children? We have a week for that too. Choose a route below and we tailor every day to you.

7 Days in Morocco: good to know
A week fits the classic route
Seven days is the shortest trip that links Marrakech, a night in the Sahara and Fes with a free day for the medina, so it is the favourite of first-time visitors.
Desert plus one more
Pair the Sahara with either the north or the ocean, not both. Trying to fit Chefchaouen, Fes, the dunes and Essaouira into one week turns it into a driving holiday.
Keep the last day light
Plan a short final day – a medina walk, a hammam or a cooking class – so you leave rested, not straight off a long drive.
Private and made for you
Each route here is a private tour with your own driver, on your dates. We change riads, activities and pace to suit you.
7 Days in Morocco: questions travellers ask
Is 7 days enough for Morocco?
Yes. A week lets you combine the Sahara with Marrakech and Fes, or the desert with the coast, at a comfortable pace. To add the north and the Atlantic as well, plan 10 days or more.
What is the best 7 day Morocco itinerary?
For a first visit, Marrakech, the kasbah road, a night in the dunes of Merzouga and two nights in Fes is the classic. If you fly in and out of Marrakech, a loop to the Sahara and back with a night in the mountains or two days in Essaouira works best.
What is a good 7 day Morocco itinerary from Marrakech?
Cross the High Atlas to Aït Benhaddou, the Dades and Todra gorges, spend one or two nights in the Sahara at Merzouga, then return west and finish in the mountains at Imlil or on the coast at Essaouira.
How much does 1 week in Morocco cost?
Our trips are private and priced on request. The price depends on the number of travellers, the season, the riads and camps you choose and the activities, so send us your dates for a clear quote.
What can you see in Morocco in 7 days?
In a week you can see Marrakech, Aït Benhaddou, the Dades and Todra gorges, the Sahara at Merzouga and the medina of Fes, or replace Fes with the High Atlas or Essaouira.
Is 1 week in Morocco with kids a good idea?
Yes. Choose short drives and one big activity a day: a balloon flight, a mule walk in the Atlas, camels in the Agafay desert and the beach at Essaouira are all easy with children.
Is a week in Marrakech too long?
Not if you use it as a base. The High Atlas, the Agafay desert, the Ouzoud waterfalls, the Ourika Valley and Essaouira are all day trips from the city.
When is the best time for 7 days in Morocco?
March to May and September to November are best for the desert and the cities. Summer is good on the coast and in the mountains, and winter is sunny but cold at night in the Sahara and the Atlas.
