Is this 6 days in Morocco itinerary good for first-time visitors?

Yes. It shows you a city, the mountains, a desert landscape and the ocean, and no drive is longer than about three hours.

Does this 6 days in Morocco itinerary include the Sahara?

No – the desert night is in Agafay, a stone desert about 45 minutes from Marrakech. To sleep in the sand dunes of Merzouga, choose one of our 6-day desert routes.

How hard is the hike to Aroumd?

It is an easy to moderate walk of two to three hours on village paths. Our guide sets the pace and a mule can carry bags if needed.

Can we surf in Essaouira as beginners?

Yes. The lessons take place at Sidi Kaouki or another beach chosen for the day’s wind and waves, with board and wetsuit provided.

When is the best time for this 6 days in Morocco itinerary?

Spring and autumn suit every stop. In summer Marrakech is hot but Essaouira and the mountains stay cooler, and in winter the Atlas nights are cold.

Camel trekking Morocco’s Sahara is the slow, quiet way into the desert: a line of camels led by a guide on foot, swaying over the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga as the light turns soft. Most of our guests ride at sunset to a camp in the dunes and come back at sunrise. It is calm, not sporty – anyone who can sit on a saddle for an hour can do it.
