Is an 8 day Marrakech itinerary too long for one city?

Not with day trips. The mountains, the Agafay desert, the waterfalls and the ocean are all within about three hours, and you come back to the same riad each night.

Can we change the day trips in this 8 day Marrakech itinerary?

Yes – a cooking class, a hammam, a quad ride in the palm grove or a mountain bike day can replace any trip.

Which days are the longest?

The Ouzoud and Essaouira days, with about 2.5 to 3 hours each way. The other trips are 45 minutes to 1.5 hours from Marrakech.

What is the best time for an 8 day Marrakech itinerary?

Camel trekking Morocco’s Sahara is the slow, quiet way into the desert: a line of camels led by a guide on foot, swaying over the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga as the light turns soft.
