Best time for this trip
March to May and late September to November are best: green hills in the north, mild days in the Sahara and pleasant evenings in the cities. In summer the desert is very hot, and winter brings rain to the Rif and cold nights in the camp.

16 Day Morocco Tour: your questions
Where does the 16 day Morocco tour start and end?
It starts in Casablanca, at the airport or your hotel, and ends in Marrakech. Flying into one city and out of the other saves a full day of driving back.
Is this 16 day Morocco tour tiring?
No. The longest drive, from Fes to Merzouga, is broken with stops, and there are free days in Chefchaouen and Fes. Most days have a short drive and a walk or an activity.
How many nights in the desert on the 16 day Morocco tour?
One night in a desert camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi and one night in a riad at the edge of the dunes. We can add a second camp night if you like.
Can the 16 day Morocco tour be private?
Yes – every trip on our site is a private tour on the dates you choose, with your own driver. We change the stops and the riads to suit you.
Can I add Essaouira to the 16 day Morocco tour?
Yes. Replace the Agafay or a city day with two nights in Essaouira, or add two days to the trip. Ask our team and we adapt the route.
What our travellers say
A holistic experience
Booking a trip with Moroccan active adventures gave us the most memorable new years celebration of our lived. Our guide Mouhssin was especially talented at turning down deserted mountain/desert roads and finding beautiful riads…
